Facing the ULTRABERICUS TRAIL CHALLENGE: Run through the Berici Hills

On March 16, 2024, the stage is set once again. It’s the day when I will face the challenge of the Ultrabericus Trail, an event promising to take me on an epic journey through the Berici Hills.

This route isn’t just an opportunity to test myself again on this course (albeit in the opposite direction from last year), but also to fully immerse myself in the many aspects of the natural environment and tackle some challenges encountered halfway through the course.

The uniqueness of this race lies not only in its breathtaking beauty but also in its variety: it runs clockwise in even years and counterclockwise in odd years, thus offering participants two entirely different experiences of the course. That’s why I’m coming back.

Regarding the races themselves (with various distances and elevations), they will all take place on the same route, starting and finishing in the magnificent Piazza dei Signori in Vicenza, at the foot of the Palladian Basilica. It’s an indescribable feeling to return for this adventure to such an iconic and historic location.

This year, like last year, I’ve decided to enter the longest race: 65 kilometers with 2500 meters of positive elevation gain. I know it will be a tough challenge, and I’ll have to push past my physical and mental limits, but that’s precisely what attracts me the most.

So, as I prepare to embark on this epic adventure, I invite you to follow me on my journey. I’ll share with you my experiences, challenges, and victories along the way, hoping to inspire others to undertake their personal challenges in the world of running.
