A Unique Experience of Sport and Nature
The Three Livigno is much more than a simple race. It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, enjoy the mountain landscape, and challenge yourself on courses of varying lengths and difficulties. The competition consists of three marathons over a distance of 43 km, but there are also options for those who prefer shorter distances: the half marathon of 21.5 km and the 10.250 km race, both competitive and non-competitive. After the four marathons in four days in Versilia, I’m sticking with the theme and going for the 3×43.
The Course: Start and Finish at the Acquagranda Facility
The races of the Three Livigno take place on a unique course, starting and finishing at the Acquagranda Facility. This route follows a bike path along the stream, creating a sort of out-and-back course over a 10.250 km stretch, completely paved and relatively flat (more or less). The start time is set for 9:00 AM for all distances. At the facility, runners will find all necessary services, including ample parking, changing rooms, showers, and bag storage, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free race experience.
Registration and Prizes: A Great Opportunity for Everyone
Registrations for the Three Livigno are open, and each day the top 3 overall finishers, both men and women, will be awarded. At the end of the three days, there will be a special prize for all finishers: a piece of clothing branded Three Livigno and the three medals that will form a unique trophy.
The Magic of Livigno and the Charm of the Alps
Participating in the Three Livigno also means discovering the magic of a place like Livigno. After the test/training conducted last year, both on the bike path and the beautiful athletics track, we decided to return for this new adventure. This alpine town is not only a destination for sports enthusiasts but also a place rich in history and culture, with a welcoming and lively atmosphere. During our stay, we will have the opportunity to explore the surroundings, savor the local cuisine, and perhaps meet internationally renowned athletes, as Livigno is often chosen as a base for preparation for Olympic events.
