At the end, it always comes back to the Reggio Emilia Marathon

The ‘Reggio Emilia Marathon – Città del Tricolore’ is set to celebrate its 27th edition, an intense day of running passion and special connections taking place on Sunday, December 10th.

The organization led by Tricolore Sport Marathon a.s.d. in collaboration with UISP Emilia-Romagna APS and UISP Comitato Territoriale di Reggio Emilia APS has orchestrated an unforgettable event. The Marathon Center at PalaBigi, Via Guasco 8, will be the main venue for all participating runners, offering everything needed before and after the race: changing facilities, showers, and a designated area for bag storage. The Secretariat will be open for bib collection on Saturday, December 9th from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, December 10th from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM.

Exciting, isn’t it? But it doesn’t end there. There will be 11 individual categories in the Final Rankings of the UISP Championship! And for the winners, not only the title of National Champion, but also a wonderful medal celebrating the city’s artistic beauties.

The route will offer unique emotions; it was my first marathon, and my wife’s as well, and in the end, I always find myself coming back to run it. It will go through the city’s avenues, outskirts, and hills with a maximum elevation gain of 100 meters, a route I’ve already experienced in 2022.

But it’s not just a marathon. The day offers opportunities for everyone: the ’10 Miles in Reggio’ and the ‘Run4charity’ of 4.2 km, the latter in support of 10 local non-profit associations, will make the day a unique experience for all participants.

However, the marathon is not just a race. It’s a chance to appreciate the beauty of Reggio Emilia, a land of hospitality and human warmth. This event combines a passion for sports with traditional Emilian hospitality, catering to the needs of runners and offering gastronomic delights.

If you love running and you’re ready for an extraordinary experience, the Reggio Emilia Marathon is the event for you. Run towards this epic adventure and discover the most fascinating side of running, embracing history, nature, and the passion for sports.

I hope to make this experience my eleventh marathon: see you in Reggio Emilia!
